To Train or Not to Train? Evidence, Culture, and Real-World Alternatives to Sleep Training

To Train or Not to Train? Evidence, Culture, and Real-World Alternatives to Sleep Training

Sunday, January 4, 10:30AM

on Zoom

This free workshop is for parents who want a calmer, more realistic understanding of infant sleep — without pressure, guilt, or one-size-fits-all advice.

You’ll leave with:

  • A clear, evidence-informed understanding of what is biologically normal for infant sleep

  • A myth-busting framework you can use in conversations with partners, family members, and care providers

  • A practical “menu of alternatives” to sleep training

  • Safety-forward guidance for room-sharing and (if families choose) risk-minimized bedsharing

  • This workshop centers parent well-being, developmental context, and informed choice, rather than rigid rules or pressure.

About the Facilitator

A.M. Alpin — Information Scientist & Research-Driven Parent Educator. A.M. approaches infant sleep through a lens of:

  • evidence & cultural context

  • parental lived experience

  • compassion-forward support — not prescriptive advice.

(This workshop is not medical advice and does not promote any single “right” approach to sleep.)
